William Cullen Bryant’s poem “Thanatopsis” expresses a message to people to help them embrace live and appreciate the world around us while we have the chance. Bryant combined nature, death and religion to symbolize the beauty of afterlife and how everything connected to become a powerful enlightment. In “Thantopsis” Bryant connected nature and religion with death, recarnation being a main point of this poem. Religious people believe that when a person passes they are then reborn into nature and in order to fully live death has to occur. Rencarnation is the beauty of death because the deceased are able to carry on and live through nature, they left this world into another beautiful life. The thought of death may be scary to some but when you live your life to the fullest you can say you lived and death should be beautiful. They say that when you pass and go to heaven all the pain and worries go away and it’s so peaceful. Right now in the world we live we have violence and crime this world is far from safe and peace.
