What is the problem?
Homeless.. A person who does not have a home & lives on the streets or in shelters
12000 (twelve thousand) are homeless in Houston. 5,400 beds at shelters. 9,439 bed gap.

What Causes the problem?
Homelessness is caused by societal problems and personal problems
Who is affected by homelessness
Anyone
1 and 3 are substance abusers (50 of these marijuana is their drug of choice)
1 and 4 had mental health issues
1 and 7 was a veteran
Mikala Berberry
Mikala Berberry was a single mom averaging about $21,000. After she suddenly lost her job, she was forced to raise her children on the streets. Mikala spent about two and a half years rotating between the streets and a $65 per week shack. Never did Mikala stop fighting. After her application for section eight housing got denied, she went to court to appeal it, and she won! Even years later, she still says she is digging herself out of the “trenches of homelessness”

48 year old named Tony. He was a dedicated member of the navy for fifteen years and only receives $361 in disability a month. He now panhandles and lives on the streets. In my opinion, after dedicating his life to our country and establishing our safety, he deserves far more than a life on the streets (Romeo).
