Madison Buxton Since cellphones were invented there has always been an argument about whether or not kids should be allowed to bring phones to school. I think that there is a even amount of pros and cons so it makes it hard for our districts to make an appropriate decision. I am not against either I am right between, I don’t have cellphone so I don’t think it is appropriate to say that students cant or can have cellphones during or at school, because truthfully I have to use my friends phones to call my parents. I think that if teachers or school staff is really concerned about students using their phones during school inappropriately like texting other students or playing games and messing around and not doing their work then they should put their foot down by taking that students phone away. And after having the students’ parents come and claim the phone instead of the student because most students won’t tell their parents that they got their phones taken away because then their parents might take it away, but if the teacher calls the parents of the student and inform them about the situation then the student will very most likely get their phone taken away and get grounded, instead of lying and getting away with it and continually doing it. Because can and will interrupt the class from learning and the student might not learn anything. But I think students should also be allowed to have phones because the school might not have enough computers for the students in class so they can use their phones as advantage and do research on their phones if the teacher thinks that, that student can be trusted and won’t ruin that opportunity for them
