World War II was a worldwide atrocity. From the gruesome battles such as D-day to the extermination of Jews by Nazi Germany, the sheer gore of the war is still shocking to people to this day. Some call these battles and events gruesome due to the death tolls that all sides faced, while others focus on the fragile moral integrity that all countries from both sides exemplified. Soldiers repeatedly raped civilian women while generals and other war officials used horrific tactics such as mass bombing and kamikaze attacks in order to undermine the enemy. One of the many bombings from World War II that comes into question is the U.S.A.’s use of nuclear bombing one the Japanese islands of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. The death toll and injuries from the nuclear strike are proof enough of this fact. Stories such as Hiroshima with first-hand accounts of the bomb as well as the fact that it was attack on civilian people make most believe that the bomb should never had dropped. The nature of the injuries, such as burns sustained miles away from the bomb would make anyone believe that to drop such a life-threatening damage on any civilization on purpose was cruel. But to look at the strike from military perspective, it might have the best options to quickly end the war and save men, arguable from both. It also offered technological advancements in weapon development for the U.S. Overall, it would not be correct to say that the bomb was an event that was only positive or only negative, but rather offered equal amounts of good and horrible results. The dropping of the atomic bomb is arguable the worst event in history, but not because of the horrible destruction it caused or the supposed cruelty of the U.S. government, but because it is hard to see that it was not a wrong or right decision, but rather a necessary
