Every person not only has the right to defense, but a duty to protect the innocent by eliminating the worst of criminals. Capitol Punishment is an effective way to deter violent criminals, give comfort to victims and their families, reduce government spending, and acts as a huge warning for criminals, leading to a reduced murder rate.

The death penalty is a very heated subject in the United States, that has an easy solution; it should be allowed in every state. There are multiple reasons why it should be allowed, starting with the way it can bring comfort and closure to the victims families. I agree with The Los Angeles Peace Officers Association when they stated "Having a functional death penalty law will help us protect the public from society's worst criminals and bring some measure of closure to the families

Ethically, getting rid of these people is the just initiative to take, because simply putting someone in jail does not compare to murdering an innocent human being. I agree with Charles E. Rice, a professor at The School of Law at the University of Notre Dame, when he said "No one ever has the right to intentionally kill the innocent." Awful people need to be held responsible for their actions, and executing individuals who deserve it, promotes and respects moral order, which everyone wants to live in.

It all comes down to the fact that people make their own choices, no one forces these horrible criminals to make these appalling decisions, and they need to be held accountable. The only moral and right punishment is death. Our society we live in today is all about sensitivity, love, and being nice to people no matter what, but it has reached a point where people blur the line between what is right and what is wrong, and letting murderers, sex offenders, and terrorists live is
