The introduction of weapons of mass destruction at the turn of the 21st century, has made protecting the United States against terrorism an increasingly complex problem. Cyber terrorism showcases the difficulty in defending against terrorism. One information systems security expert explains “while cyber defenders must confront a full range of security vulnerabilities, the cyber terrorists need to succeed in finding and exploiting a single vulnerability(Rossi).” This makes it extremely difficult to defend on attacks from all fronts of the cyber world. It would be virtually impossible to defend against a well equipped hacker.
