In these past few years, gun violence has highly increased. A lot of kids, teenagers, men and women are dying because of this violence. People just get a gun and treat it like it’s a toy when clearly it’s not. The government has been debating on whether the guns should have restrictions or not? The incidents that have been taking place because of gun use are a proof that there should be a lot of rules and regulations when it comes to owning a gun and that those rules would protect us from random massacres. A gun is a weapon used to harm people. You can shoot bullets and if the bullet somehow goes inside of you, there’s a very high chance that you may die. People don’t take guns seriously. They have video games that show kids how to shoot and also teaches them that violence is okay when its clearly not! Then on 1 October, 2015 in Oregon, Christopher Harper-Mercer shot 10 college students. In California, on 2 April 2012, a 43-year-old man named One L. Goh shot 7 people (Wikipedia). These are just a few examples of how unexpected and sad these shootings are. The shooters just lost their minds out of nowhere, found a gun lying around somewhere and then went on a shooting spree. None of the victims were expecting this. If they only enforced the law on gun control at that time, then there would be a lot less harm done to everyone. Gun violence has always been there. I’m not saying that a long time ago, no one used guns to kill. I’m just saying that it has gotten to a point where a lot of people want to ban guns forever. They are completely against the idea of people having a weapon that could kill them just by someone else pressing the trigger. I’m saying that we should have guns when we are over twenty-one, with a license for self-defense. We never know who could attack us out
