An unknown author once stated, “People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason why the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used.” (Destiny Rescue). This quote can relate to human trafficking because it is talking about how humans are being used instead things. People that run the human trafficking business, use human beings as props and that is completely horrifying. Although human trafficking is one of the most highest profitable businesses out there, human trafficking negatively impacts hundreds of thousands of people and breaches their rights making them extremely vulnerable.
Human trafficking is the action of transporting people from one area to another typically for the purposes of forced labor or commercial sexual exploitation. Human trafficking has been around for many years, which is now identified as modern day slavery. In research done by Rutgers University, it states, “Human trafficking and exploitation has been in existence across the globe for thousands of years. From the ancient Greek and Romans to the medieval times, and up until today, humans have been subject to various forms of physical and sexual slavery.” In an article done by CNN it states, “More than 3,500 sex trafficking cases were reported to the National Human Trafficking

On state.gov it reads, “Volunteer and support anti-trafficking efforts in your community.” In addition on state.gov it states, “ Take action on your campus. Join or establish a university club to raise awareness about human trafficking and initiate action throughout your local community. Consider doing one of your research papers on a topic concerning human trafficking. Request that human trafficking be included in university curricula.” Us as students should really take action around campus to mostly raise awareness to the young students at school since that is the age group that traffickers go
