Should the physician-assisted suicides be legal or should they not be legal? There is a lot of debate on this topic and to start off. If a mentally impaired individual or and very ill patient that has no chance at serving a long term life and they want to die because they are suffering why not let them. Individuals that are suffering and have the right to choose what they want to do with their lives should get that option. There has been over 700 people who have taken their own life with prescription drugs or any other medication or drug out there. They could have depression or be mentally ill and take to many. There are 5 countries that are legal to have a physician assisted suicide, California, Oregon, Vermont, Washington , and in Montana with a court approval.
I agree with the physician assisted suicide only because i think about the elderly. I know that some of the elderly can not take care of themselfs and they can not do things on their own which is very hard for them. So when I think about the situation I think of the elderly and them suffering. My grandma is suffering right now in the nursing home and it is so hard to sit here and watch her die slowly. There are different types of situations that could happen and it all depends on the situation that i would agree to like the elderly or the terminally ill patients. Having the physician assisted suicides wouldn't be bad to make legal in all the states as long as the doctors aren't killing people for no reason and if the patient agrees and wants to have it done. I know that if I was suffering or I knew I was not going to make it for the rest of my life because I was very ill I would want to have the physician assisted suicides just so i would not have to live through the pain any long and i would be in heaven not
