The Second Amendment of the United States Bill of Rights provides the right of individuals to keep and bear their personal arms. Every American is given the constitutional right to possess and use firearms for legitimate purposes, like self-defense. Supreme Court rulings have put into question what firearms can legally be possessed by Americans and have brought debates about gun rights to the forefront of American political discussion. The debates are mainly concerned with improving the overall safety of American citizens, but the fundamental viewpoints on how best to improve safety are very different between the two main perspectives. The establishment of our nation is situated in the Bill of Rights and the American Revolution. A distinction between the Declaration of Independence the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Declaration of Independence gives reason concerning why America needed separation from the British. Gun control will not keep weapons out of the hands of criminals. People have had many arguments over gun control. Including the security of free State and the right for people to keep and bear their arms.
