Have you ever imagined going through torture for a long period of time? Attending school for twelve months straight would be a painful and also exhausting experience. Here are some cons about going on an all year-round school schedule. Some cons that affect all year-round is no family time. Another is that it holds back kids from getting outside and learning new things. The last reason is that it distracts kids and can cause a huge affect on how they learn in school.

Studies show that summer break gives a kids mind a chance to ‘cool down’ and relax (Editor). The long summer will make kids forget the information taught, but the content you learn is different at the beginning of the new school year. Finally the last con is that longer year-round schooling would be a ‘distraction’ here's how.
Year-round schooling would be overwhelming and would also be a distraction for the kids who are not ready to study for long periods. This would cause laziness and not wanting to go to school so therefore going to a year-round calendar would be counterproductive or lead to behavioral issues (Connectusfundadmin). For those kids school would be stressful and they would end up giving up on work because they do not get a break from school to calm down.
People who are for year-round schooling state that a child has more breaks throughout the year. During these breaks a family can go on vacation more often and spend time with each other throughout the year, also in these two week breaks a student will most likely have homework assigned to them to complete so it really isn't a break. If a child is in a sport they will most likely also have practice over the two weeks so it also isn't a
