1.) What do you think Las Casas hoped to accomplish by writing so critically about Spanish treatment of the Indians?

What I think Las Casas hoped to accomplish by writing so critically about Spanish treatment of the Indians is to spread awareness and inform/teach the Spanish people about how the Spanish treated the Indians. I believe Las Casas knew he could not have stopped the mistreatment of Indians all by himself, this writing was to provoke an emotion in his fellow Spanish people in order to gain a following in the belief of treating Indians better than how Indians were treated. This event was a part of history, and by showcasing the horrific treatment of the Indians by the Spanish, it prevents history from repeating.

The sentence pokes fun/mock the Spanish by stating how Spanish are supposed good Christians, but yet treat the Indians with inhumane acts/treatment.

1.) What actions did Indians take during the Pueblo Revolt to demonstrate their new freedom from Spanish rule?

Actions that Indians took during the Pueblo Revolt to demonstrate their new freedom from Spanish rule was to disrespect/poke/ and disown the European religion that was forced down the throat of Indians. There were orders that "all the temples and images, crosses and rosaries" to be burned. Indian's leader even ordered the name of Jesus and Mary to not be uttered and gave out orders to defined the religion by all means. Masks of the devil 's face were made as a mockery of the religion. These actions by the Indians sent a message that the Indian will no longer be controlled and obedient to the European.

One G of the 3 G that European use as their motive to explore was God. European set out to convert as many people to Christianity and with all the Indians did to denied the religion, it was a staple point in the Pueblo
