The hunter might be the main provider but the wife is beside him helping in ways that make it where he is never alone on the long journey of hunting. In the quote, it says a man has a connection with the animal he kills. Animals are not the only ones who have to kill an animal to survive. Hunters go out and must kill animals to provide for his family. Since there is a connection between the hunter and the animal he has a responsibility to that animal. We either go out and hunt together or he goes out and hunts. Either way, we both put in our part. I make sure his clothes are ready to go so he doesn't have to worry about anything but the hunt. I also make sure he stays hydrated and full while in the stand. And when the time comes after our kill I do the preparation to get the deer gutted and ready to skin so we can process the deer to store it for next season. I make sure my boyfriend gets the congratulations he needs to boost his confidence for his next kill. Without my boyfriend killing something and bringing it to our table we wouldn't have any meat to
