The Home School Liaison (HSCL) is a major mainstream strategy targeted at pupils who would be at risk of not reaching their potential in the educational system because of their background characteristics, economic or social disadvantage.
It also aims to increase the link between home and school by encouraging parents to become more involved in their children’s time in education and to encourage self-development and literacy skills of parents so that they as their Childs primary educator will become a positive role model and encourage the educational and personal goals for their children and be a good sense of support for them especially around the children’s attendance and participation throughout school.
