The process of industrialization is called a revolution because of the fact that many changes take place during this time period. In the second industrial revolution, many new industries came to pass such as the technology industry, and the manufacturing industry. All of these drastic changes and new inventions came to bring to pass new industries such as banking, travel, and communication.

The technology industry was a big part of the industrial revolution. Many inventions such as the invention of mass production and interchangeable parts, and overall the basics such as the telephone and the automobile. Mass production is the production of parts in huge quantities. Mass production was different because instead of products being made by hand, factories had machines that did the work. Banking came to pass to be a new industry during the second industrial revolution. Because of the advancement of communication and the telephone and steel banks were able to communicate and also create a safe place to keep people's money. Communication was also another industry that came to be a big deal during this time period. People were able to communicate with their loved ones and as stated before unlike the telegraph the telephone didn't require people to have a previous knowledge of Morse Code. Last but not least travel became a big advancement during this time period and people were able to commute from place to place quicker and were also able to travel at night when beds were placed on trains. This created a way for people to travel at night without having to worry about comfort for sleeping. All of these industries became a big deal during this time and as previously stated created a better lifestyle for many
