This technology and more can be incredibly helpful; however, it can also have a very negative effect on the performance of activities and stability of relationships. Using imagery and foreshadowing, Ray Bradbury exemplifies the separation between families that can be caused by dependence on technology.
Bradbury uses description of fear within the members of the Hadley family to foreshadow the future separation between the kin, which aids to the exaggerated effects of this separation. The family had become so separated that this would lead to the murder of the parents.
