In the story “The Seventh Man” by Haruki Murakami, The seventh man fails to save his his friend K., should he forgive himself for this failure. “The Moral Logic of Guilt” by Nancy Sherman, The passage talks about how soldiers returning home for the first time feel guilty about it, much like The Seventh Man. The third passage “The Key to Disaster Survival” by Shankar Vedantam, is about what it takes to survive a natural disaster.

The narrator should not himself for many reasons. The first reason is from the story “The Moral Logic of Guilt”, the story states that it is usual for someone to not to be able to forgive themselves ,“the classic scenario is not so much of good luck, but of bad luck, typically having to do with accidents where again”(Sherman 155). The first reason is the narrator will most likely forgive himself at some time. Also it was an accident and not intentional, it could have happened to anybody. The narrator also warned K. the the wave was coming but K. was to interested in something he was looking at thea he was too late( Murakami 138). The third reason he should not feel guilty is eh told K. not to go out there but he did it anyway, if he would have stayed with the narrator he wouldn't have been taken away( Murakami 138). There is lots of reason why he should not feel guilty, Those were just some.
