In “The Giver” each family is only given three books. A dictionary, a book of rules, and the committee volume. They have never read any other books. I can’t even imagine life without books, because I spend a great majority of my time reading. If you are going through problems with the people around you, books are an escape route. I think that this is an amazing book, and is by far my
