It’s a June, Friday night and you’ve finally overcome your final exam… astronomy put up a tough battle, but you fought it like a warrior. There will be a party to commence this stress-relieving period of time. Struggling to open your eyes and the intense sense of hammering on your head can only indicate one final effect of alcohol: you have a hangover. Now that your body is attempting to cleanse itself of any residue of alcohol, your senses are paying the ultimate price. Any light stings your eyes, the most subtle of scents burn your nose, little nibbles of food (although you are craving McDonald’s greasy, salty fries) cause reflex in your throat, and any sudden noises pound your head. The question of “why did I let myself drink” ponders every hung-over mind, followed by “I promise I will never drink again”.
