It was going to be a perfect vacation. The Smith Family was going to Aruba, for the first time ever, during spring break. Nothing was going to ruin their vacation. Two weeks before they left, Jimmy fell off his bike and hit his head, leading to a concussion. Jacklyn sprained her ankle at soccer practice, and Johnny ran into a fence, leading to stitches. Everyone stayed calm and hoped to get better soon. After that week went by, Jimmy’s concussion healed, Jacklyn’s ankle healed, and Johnny got his stitches out. Their plane was leaving at 6:30 a.m. on Friday the 13th.

Everyone was counting the days down until they left. Five more days, four more days, three more days, two more days and then one more day. It was Thursday night, the car was packed

Smith, I am truly very sorry, but we don't have the room you requested,” the Manager replied.

“Do you have any other rooms?” asked Jennifer.

“I’m not sure. Let me go check,” replied the Manager.

“Okay thank you,” replied Jennifer.

Ten minutes later, the Manager came back with news.

“We have a room, but it’s under construction. You guys could sleep in there on blow up mattresses, and everything would be free because of this inconvenience,” said the Manager.

“Let us talk about it,” replied Joseph.

“Okay. Take your time,”replied the Manager.
The Smith family gathered around near the fish tank and talked about whether or not they should take the offer. After talking about it, they decided to take the offer. The Manager walked them to their room and handed them the air matresses. The room was just big enough to fit all the mattresses, but they were grateful just to have a roof over their heads. The next day they swam in the ocean, went jet skiing, and went snorkeling. They enjoyed every day and took advantage of all the activities. On their way home, they got picked to take first class on Delta Airlines. Even though the Smith’s vacation had a rough start, they enjoyed the end and had an amazing
