Affirmation- “when flags and the fictions they stand in for are protected but people are destroyed, something is wrong” resonated with me. People were killing citizen who are not patriotic. I feel that the quotation is a complete irony. If people are patriotic, they need to love each other and protect them. But, instead of reporting the one’s lack of patriotism to the authority, they began to kill them. This scenario reminds of ISIS and terrorism.
