In this passage by Marion Nestle, The Supermarket: Prime Real Estate, she explains ” From their prospective, it is your problem if what you buy makes you eat more food than you need and more of the wrong kinds of foods in particular”[pg. 497] . From my point of view, this statement is false. I believe that it is the supermarket’s fault that we are eating more then we need to because they lower prices for a short time and then they raise the costs back up; not to mention the bandwagons on food. These supermarkets use various reasons that we as people have never been fully aware of, when buying product. The ultimate decision is on us as customers. However, we wouldn’t have such a horrible economy is we would stop over spending in the markets
