Alex Forrest’s path to destruction resembles Mothy’s song “The Tailor of Enbizaka”, a story about the village, named Enbizaka, tailor’s tale of her lover’s affairs. The tailor is furious at his infidelity, much like Alex, but decides to focus on her work. She notices how beautiful these women look and decides to “fix” their clothing. In reality, the tailor kills all the ladies and wears their outfits to win her lover’s affection. The man arrives, shocked at the tailor’s appearance, and reveals that he never met her before, which sends him to his death. The song informs the audience that someone killed a family of four, while showing the faces of the tailor’s victims. This information reveals the true nature of the story. The tailor’s “husband” is a stranger; she gets so infatuated with him that she is consumed by her delusions, believing to be his wife. A symptom of erotomania is a fixation towards a loved one, and they reflect this attitude. Alex always thinks of Dan; her days consisting of gaining his love. She calls his phone number, follows his movements, and contacts his family to become a part of his life, much like the tailor. She is always “chanced upon him” and always asks “Who the heck is the woman next to him?”. The tailor kills these strangers, stating that “I’ve become the type of woman you like/Well? How is it?
