In Anthem men are not allowed to be different. They are Confined to the Individuality of sameness. Every body must be the same, equal. One can't have a friend without have performed a transgression. They can't make decisions without the advocacy of the Council. Nothing is self dependent no love, no opinion, no peculiar figure, and no humanity.
One person that was different, unique, peculiar, and had the want for humanity reached the surface of the small dystopia. Equality 7-2521. He was different, a transgressional figure, a unwanted lost somebody that nobody wanted to be around because they were taught that being unique was evil. It is of a Nobody presenting to the world council, light. Equality 7-2521 has hope that the world council will accept him and acknowledge him around the world as the man who created Light without a flame, wax or a wic, but within a glass structure. Equality 7-2521 has now been transformed into one who controls himself and who is now in control of his life. One whose humanity is his, and freedom is of abundance. Equality 7-2521 was not excepted but that did not stop him from being himself. Equality 7-2521 learn the forbidden words which were the words of individuality, and he learned that there was a word that was given to you to define your figure. He gave himself the name of Prometheus. He gave himself this name because Prometheus was the god who designed human beings. Prometheus was also a great hero for humankind, because he defied the order of the other gods to give human beings fire. Just like Equality 7-2521 who heroically defied the laws of his society to give human beings light. He found the joy in his craving for learning and his lust for a better and greater life. Prometheus did not find the joy and happiness in the creation of the invention but for the bettering of the future that the invention
