I was a freshman in high school and invited to one of the biggest party that a freshman shouldn’t attend. I had no thoughts of it being bad. I thought the party would be exciting and fun. Instead it turned into a night that I would never forget.
One Friday night some friends and I decided to attend our high school football game. Upon arrival, there were already cars lined out of the parking lot. During the game, I had overheard a few people talking about the party, everyone was going. Finally, the game was coming to an end. Everyone was racing to their cars and heading to the party.
When we arrived at the party I could feel my body trembling with excitement and nervousness. I didn’t know whether to stay or go home. It was turning midnight and the party was heated. You go into the music room and that’s where the people are dancing, laughing over memories and having a good time. Although it was crowded, I made room and began to enjoy myself as well.
All of a sudden a fight broke out. You would have thought someone screamed free food the way everyone was running. People where pushing and shoving to get out of the way, but no one would break it up. And somehow I was caught up in the middle of it.
