For my book report I read ‘The Trials of Apollo’ by Rick Riordan, it’s part of his very long storyline about a camp for Greek demigods. In this book the sun god Apollo is cast down to earth from mount Olympus as a mortal as punishment for starting a war, in the last series, with the earth goddess Gaea. In the begging of this book Apollo, aka Lester Papadopoulos, lands in an alley and is attacked by two thugs; Apollo, thinking he still has some godly powers, attempts to fight them and fails spectacularly. He ends up being saved by Meg, a young demigod on the streets who fights by throwing fruit at people. This scenario makes Apollo feel embarrassed because he is ashamed to be a mortal. It also makes him angry at Zeus, his father, because he was the one who blamed Apollo for starting the war between Gaea and the Olympians and also between the Greek and Roman demigods. Next, Apollo, after being saved by Meg, tells Meg who he is and that to get his godly powers back he must serve under a demigod and complete the tasks they give him.
