People always argue whether or not homework is beneficial for students and whether teachers should even assign it in the first place. Teachers should assign homework but only if it enriches the student’s learning and is not busy work. In her article “The Trouble With Homework”, Annie Murphy Paul explains that “enriching children’s classroom learning requires making homework not shorter or longer, but smarter.” Homework should also only be assigned to high school students.
