The Village
Today I went with my friends Reed and Lj to their church, they go to The
Village. The Village is in Highland Village on FM 407 where the old Tom Thumb used to be. The pastor at their church is named Matt Chandler he has been a pastor for 11 years and he has one of the top 5 most famous Podcasts on itunes. About ninety percent of the people at their church are white or caucasian, around three percent of the people are hispanic. The last two percent are black or African American.

There are many Differences between The Village and One Community Church. The biggest one is definitely racial makeup, the racial makeup literally reverses. At One at least ninety percent of people that go there are African American or Black. But at The Village its ninety percents White or Caucasian. Another difference, I noticed that I really liked is the how far away it is from home, The Village is a lot closer to our house than One . It took five minutes to get there rather than the twenty five minutes it takes us to get to One. One other thing that was diffrent was how they did communion, At one we do communion before the sermon, at The Village they did Communion at the end of the service.
Today at church we learned about not taking easy way out of everything. The Pastor mainly talked about if you wanna get somewhere in life you have to work for it its not just gonna be handed to you. This applies the same for getting into heaven, you can't just buy your way in because what
