Twenty million dollars is a lot of money. In the westing game by Ellen Raskin that is the main goal, to find the answer to soon be rewarded twenty million dollars. There is both a book and a movie which have both similarities, and differences. The Westing Game, by Ellen Raskin, contains many similarities and differences that are worth sharing. The book and the movie are very different but at the same time alike, including the storyline. In the book there are 16 characters trying to find the answer to get the 20,000,000 dollar inheritance of the westing Paper Products company, While in the movie it's 10 heirs attempting to find the answer and win the two hundred million dollar inheritance of the company. Some of the characters differences are the character existing, six of the characters in the book weren't in the movie. Turtle did not kick people as much because she didn't have a braid for people to touch and annoy her with. Chris took part of the role of his older brother, Theo, by playing chess with sandy. The setting changed in the movie because in the book it was Sunset towers, a large mirroring glass building sitting next to the westing house on the shore of lake Michigan. In the movie it is a worn down building next to a hill which has the westing house on it, and there is no lake Michigan. Similarities always come with differences, it will always be like that unless it is the exact same thing. In the westing game the goal is to win the 20,000,000/200,000,000 and the only heir to accomplish that is the youngest, Turtle. The book and the movie both were st at Sunset towers and some of the characters are still in the movie.
