There are many differences between The Westing Game novel and movie. The settings are very different. For example, Sunset Towers is not on Lake Michigan in the movie, instead it is in the city. The chinese restaurant is on the first floor of the building instead of being on the fifth floor, like in the book. There are also many partnership differences. Chris Theodorakis takes on the role of Theo by playing chess with Sandy. He is partners with Turtle, instead of Turtle being partners with Flora. In the book, the partnerships were designed for the characters to help each other, this isn’t the case in the movie. There were many differences between the two stories because the movie left out important details.
