People sometimes don't realize how much power they have upon someone. In both stories "corruption of power" is being used. In the beginning they started off with great leaders. Then things started to take a downfall when someone else started to take over and become the leader. In Animal Farm and Lord of the Flies everything started out good with the leaders, then things started to get a little out of hand, and lastly a bad and good outcome occurs.

In Lord of the Flies Ralph was chosen leader of everyone, and in Animal Farm Old Major was the leader until he died so two pigs became the leader (Napoleon and Snowball). As Napoleon started gaining more power he wasn't try to hear what Snowball was saying, so he ran Snowball off the farm. "He was running as only a pig can run, but the dogs were close on his heels. Suddenly he slipped and it seemed certain that they had him. Then he was up again, running faster than ever, then the dogs were gaining on him again. One of them all but closed his jaws on Snowball's tail, but Snowball whisked it free just in time. Then he put on an extra spurt and, with a few inches to spare, slipped through a hole in the hedge and was seen no more." (Chapter 5)

As things started to take a turn Jack tries to kill Ralph by setting the island on fire. Jack plan was a fail, because a naval…
