Death by Mistake In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet’s death was something that did not have to happen. If the Capulets and the Montagues stopped their silly fighting then none of this would have happened. Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t have to be scared of their families finding out about their love for eachother. The fighting is just silly because they do things like “bite their thumb” at one another (1.1.46). In my mind is one of the stupidest thing I have ever heard. It’s just the little stupid things that caused the fighting which leads to somebody getting hurt or killed. The hate between the families got so big that Romeo and Juliet had to devise a plan for them to escape Verona and head to a neighboring town called Mantua so they could actually be together full time and be happy forever. Juliet had to “die” or at least look like she is dead so Romeo will come and rescue her out of the graveyard and take her to Mantua to continue on a peaceful life. But, the plan goes completely wrong and romeo doesn’t get the letter stating that Juliet is not really dead and Romeo in the name of love kills himself to be with his Juliet again in heaven, but a couple moments after Romeo’s death, Juliet wakes up from her sleep to see her dead lover and Juliet without hesitation stabs herself and lays dead next to Romeo as shown in act 5 “O, happy dagger. There rust, and let me die”
