Theodore Roosevelt was one of the greatest presidents the U.S. has ever had and thus, in honor, the American people casted him to be one of the faces of Mt. Rushmore. Mt. Rushmore includes, undisputably, the most influential presidents such as Lincoln, Washington, and Jefferson. Roosevelt is one of the few elevated to this honor because like the other men he shares a mountain side with he was extremely beneficial, and influential in the formation of America. Roosevelt, in particular, is among these men because he greatly helped American Society with his regulation of big business, conservation efforts, and by creating very important federal committees to inspect food, and drugs. Roosevelt’s contribution to the American economy was not only beneficial but vastly important in upholding the economic freedom of the American People. Before Roosevelt's term big business was on a fast track to securing monopolies thus requiring people to have no other alternative for services or goods in a particular area.
