Seeing the fusion between the reality programs and the coverage of the Iraq War, Suzanne Collins came up with a stunning story named "The Hunger Games. Suzanne was a very big fan of Greek and Roman mythology, she began to read the myth of Theseus and the Minotaur when she was eight years old. The inspiration from these two mythologies helped her in her later writing on The Hunger Games. When she was a kid, her father went to the unnecessary war in Vietnam and came home with a captivating story about the war in Vietnam to tell her. Being inspired by the myth of Theseus and the Minotaur, and acknowledging her father's experiences in the Vietnam War, Suzanne was well prepared to write an excellent story, which is called the Hunger Games.
