Theseus Vs. Hercules: A True Hero

Hercules may have killed his family, but he is still a way better hero than Theseus. Theseus and Hercules are greek heroes from ancient myths. They represent hope and qualities that every person should have, but Hercules represents these qualities way more because He has performed way more selfless deeds than theseus and his a great person in general. A hero should be selfless, strong, and smart, this obviously represents Hercules.
Hercules is a way better hero than Theseus because he is selfless. Being selfless is a quality that every hero needs to be a true hero and Hercules is a true selfless hero. While Hercules may have killed his family, at least he tried to atone for his sins. He killed his family under a curse from Hera. For this reason, he spent most of his life

He knows what to do in difficult situations and can solve the problem. In the story “The Mares of Diomedes”, Hercules’s servant Abertis asks “what are going to do master, Hercules replies with “don’t worry I’ve got a plan”, This shows that he doesn’t go into battle without a plan, he uses his wittiness to come up with a way to confront a difficult situation. Even when Hercules is confronted by the twenty thousand bistones and he uses both brain and brawn to devise a clever way to beat them. He discovers a rock lying and blocking the river from flooding the valley he cleverly pushes the rock and allows the water to flood the valley and kill the bistones. Moreover he used his knowledge and experience to come up with a plan to defeat the bistones. He used his former experience to know what to do in a new situation. After Knowledge is not what you know it’s what you do with that knowledge. While Theseus may have used the string to find his way around the maze in the story “the Minotaur” that idea was given to him by, he didn’t come up with it on his own.
