In today's world almost every person is discriminated against based on their gender. This discrimination is shown through stereotypes, differences in pay and chances at opportunities in life. Feminism gives females the way of living in a world where they are treated and seen as an equal sex as males. According to an article about feminism, “Feminism to me and most sane people is a movement for equal rights. For everyone. Feminists aren’t monsters. They are human beings who fight the monster of inequality” (Mujoo). Feminist in the United States and all over the world spoke out against what they believed in different time periods to have equal rights as men and to not be seen as objects that men can control. Many females in the years used to look at women as objects that they could boss around and use for sexual pleasures. Women wanted people to change the way women are defined and this movement was fully diverse of people who had different color skin, different cultural background, different ethnicities, and different cultural backgrounds as well. This wave of feminism expands feminism to include a diverse group of women with diverse identities. Third Wave feminists have broadened their goals by focusing on abolishing gender role expectations and stereotypes. This movement was not performed to make laws about sexual equality but to speak out about how they women want to be viewed the same as men and not be viewed as the second gender who is lower than the first gender. Racism provides a huge impact on individuals that causes major disfunction between everybody in a country.
