Thirteen days is participant to Robert F. Kennedy’s memoir of the Cuban missile crisis that occurs from October 16 to October 28, 1962. Soviet offensive weapons are found in Cuba, contrary to public and private promises by Premier Nikita S. Khrushchev. JFK constitutes an Executive Committee of the national Security Council who talks, argue, and fight to see which recommendations to act on. Everyone present agrees that time is running out. JKF decides on blockade, requests, and receives support from the Organization of OAS and European allies.

JFK plan for the blockade was a good choice because that was the right thing at the time for him to do. He asked one of the men that would work with him Khrushchev to observe the quarantine and control the situation so there would be no miscalculation or misjudgment that would cause a third World War. JFK and Khrushchev was a good dynamic couple that worked together for the blockade and everything that happened during that time. The United States had to come to an agreement on what would be taken to not prevent the Russian missiles in Cuba.

Not all movies are going to be the same because the directors want to spice up the film a little bit. Thirteen days the movie and the book were nothing alike like some of the important facts that happen and what lead up to them.
