Representative McRide called for a new election for the Speaker of the house out of the blue yesterday. This prompted other congressmen to support the motion. After Tiebroken called for a discussion on the floor for this matter the acting Speaker Bakk stepped down. So for the moment, the Speaker of the House is Politophile. With Tiebroken, Politophile, and Butterlands as the candidates for the next speaker I wonder who will win. Congress keeps on surprising me. First, we have no Vice President, now we have no Speaker of the House. And in the case of Tiebroken, being voted in as speaker of the house that will leave the minority leader position open, we will have to wait and find out more about that.
