What animal behaviors were presented by Tilikum that were ignored by SeaWorld?
Behaviors such as Anger, Depression, and Sadness in the animal ha d been constantly ignored, leading the animal trainers in danger of getting injured or worse on several occasions.

In the movie “Black Fish” we first see Sea World advertisements, making it look innocent until we get to the interviews of the past and current trainers at Sea World and even a OSHA worker who had been studying Killer Whales, they explain that Sea World is not all innocent as they seem in the beginning. The movie explains that there was a Sea World down near the ocean that was small, dark, and quite un-prepared for these animals. This was the first holding place of the giant killer whale

After an incident with the two other whales, who dragged and drowned a trainer, Tilikum was moved to another Sea World. The other whales picked at him and bit him, making him bleed and have scars on his body. Later on we are informed that he is used for breeding purposes cause of his size, but because Sea World was ignoring his behaviors his Dorsal fin flopped, which is a sign of sickness or the sign that the whale is very stressed in his environment. Because he got very stressed he got violent and killed several of his trainers, because he was upset. The reason he did this is because whales are very emotional animals and are scientifically known for being more emotional than humans. When these injuries or killings occurred, Sea World paid off and hid what had happened from the rest of the world to keep their representation and money. Tilikum is now kept only as a breeder for his size, his rights as an animal have been taken away because he was not free, he was hurting trainers and other people and becoming more and more depressed to the point he didn’t move so long they thought he was dead. These animals should not be mistreated like this and should be given their rights to be free in the ocean, instead of being stripped away from their parents or children and put into eternal sadness. As they said in the movie “the blackfish were very spiritual beings and if you were to mess with them they would be angered and could take their revenge upon
