Nonetheless, the egregious acts on April 19, 1995, in Oklahoma city left millions of Americans puzzled on why Timothy Mcveigh carried out the heinous events, which claimed the lives of 168 Americans. Nevertheless, leading up to this horrific event Mcveigh participated in a number of bank robberies to raise money to execute anti-government violence and turned his Arizona home into a bunker, renounced his U.S citizenship and began making and exploding homemade bombs. Conversely, military coconspirators Micheal Fortier and Terry Nichols received minimal publicity for their participation in the destruction of the Murrah Federal building because they were not with Mcveigh the day of the bombing.
