In the start, George and Harold are headed for jail for the rest of their lives. What could be worse? How about being pulled from prison by a time-travelling tyrant named Tippy Tinkletrousers! In this book, the boys take a trip back in time to the carefree days of kindergarten, when the scariest things they had to face was not evil mad scientists or alien cafeteria ladies but a sixth grade bully named Kipper Krupp, the nephew of their clueless school principal. And because George and Harold don’t invent Captain Underpants until they are in fourth grade, the clever kindergartens are on their own. Will their brains be enough to beat the bully?

Krupp is in his bed and George and Harold getting ready for bed putting on their pyjamas, Tippy is busy at work completing the final touches of the “statue”. At current point, the book is still keeping us wait for what is under the “green tarp”. Come morning, Tippy is getting ready to reveal his big masterpiece at the 10-year anniversary, while once again, Krupp is on his daily walk. “BANG! CRASH!” The Tarp is revealed and Krupp is taken. Tippy has built a mega robot for his “Escape Plan; Capture Underpants, Harold and George”. Tippy, and Krupp in Tippy’s giant robot hands make their escape. The guards holding their gun scared to shoot, with the fear of being shot stand back staring. The giant robot brakes the walls and they make their way to the detention centre where the warden there is more than happy to give the “naughty” boys to Tippy. Tippy asks the boys where Captain Underpants is, let-alone does Tippy know he is in his hands. George and Harold clap and there is Captain Underpants. Tippy is amazed yet Captain Underpants left wondering where his missing cape could possibly
