There has been a sunken boat in the North Atlantic, because of hitting an iceberg” I chose the History Channel, because they have been on TV the longest and are more reliable. They know what they are talking about and they interview survivors to get the full story. Titanic Sinks Four Hours after Hitting Iceberg. I chose the New York Times newspaper, because it gives you more information and details then the news. The disaster they both covered was the Titanic which happened on, April 15, 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean. What happened was the boat hit an iceberg and it filled up with water. On that boat there was 2,240 passengers. All because of an iceberg. Since I picked these two media sources I want to show some similarities and differences. Some similarities are they, both give information and details about the disaster. But, The Histroy Channel gives more of a summary then the newspaper. Where the newspaper gives a whole page full of details. They both have to be done by people for sure. But, the news gives more opinions unlike the newspaper. It gives more facts than opinions. But, I really couldn’t decide who explained it better both of the sources do a great job at describing the destruction that it caused. But, I feel like they would and wouldn’t have an impact on your emotions. Now, the History Channel really just gives a summary of when, where, and why it happened. The New York Times shows pictures of the people and who died and why they died. In the newspaper you would see pictures of the boat and what it looked like. Now, if you had family members on the boat and just heard about it I could see you getting emotional. But, if you barely knew them or didn’t know any of the people I wouldn’t see you emotional. Now, if your emotional all around then yeah but, I wouldn’t get
