Running through the 14th to 17th century was the Renaissance which is known as a rebirth for Europe. This piece in history was the bright light of relief after a storm. The Black Death struck and took out a huge bite of the population, (estimated 25 million people.) the Renaissance came with creativity, humanism, the printing press, and artist that are honored to this day. A great way to look at the renaissance is the many artist that are studied to this day. Tiziano Vecelli is a good example of an honored artist that was a role model and influenced others from then to the 20th century.
