To Kill A Mockingbird is a phenomenal book written by Harper Lee. The movie is strong, but it didn't have as much detail as the novel. There were similarities and major differences as well, but the book has been just phenomenal. Even though the film got to the point. The novel was better than the film, because the novel contains more drama and the novel had more detail and many unexpected events.
One of the similarities is Boo Radley appears in the film and the book. Boo only came out during the night and rescued Scout and Jem from Bob Ewell. The book made Boo Radley more unusual because Harper Lee made him more mysterious.Scout and Jem would target more on Boo Radley trying to investigate who he was, what he does and, why he only came out during the night. Another similarities is Tom Robinson is accused of raping a white woman as well he was shot, then died before Atticus makes an appeal to the court. The

In the novel Jem reads to Mrs. Dubois which is where Jem begins to acknowledge the racism going on after Mrs. Dubois calls Atticus a “NIgger Lover”. The film just left out an interesting plot to the storyline because not once does Jem read to Mrs. Dubois. Jem and Scout walk home with Atticus after the case with Tom Robinson but in the book Calpurnia walks him telling Atticus the kids are missing and without even knowing they were up where the color people section was. Calpurnia later walks Jem and Scout home nagging at them about how they're in trouble and Aunt Alexandra was concerned. It was unusual how this was left out of the film.An unexpected event was when a maid comes in during a trial and tells one of the lawyers their kids are missing when they're actually watching the trial. Mrs. Maudie's house burns down in the book but was left out in the movie. It would have been nice to see a house burn down in the film, but it wasn't a big deal because it honestly didn't affect anything in the
