The novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” and the movie adaptation both differ and compare because some things were unable to be recreated in the movie and some things had to be changed for new viewers. An example of how they contrast is In the novel on chapter 10, page 127, it states “Atticus pushed his glasses to his forehead; they slipped down, and he dropped them in the street. In the silence, I heard them crack.” while in the film Atticus doesn't shatter his glasses, this difference sets a different tone between the adaptations, and one that the film couldn't recreate. Another example of how they contrast is In the book, on chapter 10, page 119, it states “Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit'em, but remember it's a sin to kill a Mockingbird.
