Boo Radley is greatly symbolize by the mockingbird, here are a few things they have in common. Boo is a good person and has never done anything bad. Boo has never done anything wrong and it would be bad to kill him. Boo was a also very nice and nothing like the stories. When Jem’s pants came off in Boo’s yard. When Miss Maudie’s house burnt down he gave Scout a blanket while she was sleeping. Boo also was metaphorically shot as a Mockingbird. Boo was made to be a terrible person. People made up terrible myths and rumors about Boo. People in Maycomb said he stabbed his dad with scissors, he eats raw animals and so many more terrible. Tom Robinson is greatly symbolized by the mocking bird as well. Tom and the mockingbird have many things in common as well. He always helped people and did good. Tom was a good person and killing him was a sin. As was stated Tom always helped people for nothing in return. He helped Mayella break down a chiffarobe and didn't accept her pay. Tom was both literally and metaphorically shot. Mayella accused him of rape even though she had been the one to force herself upon him. The court ruled Tom guilty although there was numerous amounts of evidence proving he was innocent. He was sent to prison even though he was innocent. He attempted to escape from prison, but he was shot seventeen times and killed by a prison guard. As you can see, Boo Radley and Tom Robinson are greatly symbolized by the
