The first quote that I used to describe myself is from The Scarlet Letter. This quote is significant to me because it talks about being your true self and not acting different around different people. This is something that I try to do in my everyday life. The next quote is from Frankenstein and talks about the human mind and sudden change. This is relevant to me because it is something that I sometimes struggle with but am working to be better at handling. It resonated with me because of the relevance to my life. My third quote is from Moby Dick (which I haven’t actually read but my dad has and he talks about it all the time.) I chose the quote because it talks about laughing through hard times and having a positive attitude, which is something I try to do. My told me this quote and it made an impact on me and helped me get through tough times easier. “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times” is my next quote. It is from A Tale of Two Cities and I chose it because I think it such an awesome way to start a novel that I had to include it. This is self-explanatory based off of the title. I chose this because I am pursuing happiness myself and, as the songs says, I have to be careful to not think that everything that is shining is always gold. This part of the song resonated with me. The other song that I chose is “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for” by U2 and is very similar to my other song. The reasoning behind this choice is that it describes my life in the sense that I am searching for things in my life that I haven’t found yet even though I am 18 years old. This ranges from girls to success in school and many other things. Even though it is an old song, the message makes it relevant today and it is still a great
