Equally important, are family and friends relationships. I see my extended family on holidays, and sometimes birthdays, similarly to Jem and Scout. They see Aunt Alexandra, Uncle Jimmy, Uncle Jack, and other extended family on holidays such as Christmas. Jem and Scout also respect their elders, even if they do not like them. For example on Christmas when Scout was eating at the children's table, and wanted to eat with the adults, but Aunt Alexandra said no she respected her decision.
