If one commodity is amazing, can a remake be as good? The creative writing of the novel To Kill a Mockingbird is contrasted through the late movie, made to tell the visual story of the book. Although the story plot is very controversial and all aspects lead up to the main focal point. The movie does not contain all of those paramount perspectives, which create an intriguing story, that is pictured when analizing the novel. To Kill a Mockingbird is based in the mid to early 1930’s. This time period consists of both segregation and The Great Depression, throughout the United States. These 1930 crises are brought into the plot of a little girl telling the story of her childhood. This story explains what living in her small Alabama town is like, while she also brings one through a very controversial rape trial. This movie was missing very important aspects that were mentioned in the book, that not only talk to children life lessons, but also brought out the theme. Throughout the many differences, they have changed the plot, including Francis, Dill, and Dolphus Raymond not being included. In the differences, additional examples add to the story and the meaning of the book, which has left the movie feeling bare and plain compared to the novel. In conclusion, the many themes of prejudiced and not judging others can be very helpful throughout the modern-day world. Prejudice is a very big issue right now, not only towards African-Americans, but also to other immigrants throughout the United States and other countries. These themes could be applied when seeing immigrants from other countries and can remind others to treat people the way one would want to be
