To This Day Poem rough draft
The video “To this day” by Shane Koyczan based on a poem by the same name, reveals the permanence of the emotional damage of bullying cause the victims. In addition, two interviews with the poet reveal his personal experiences with bullying. To start with Koyczan got the nickname pork chop which unfortunately led him to bullying. He wrote the poem because he wanted to tell the reader that we should help others and forgive the ones who hurt us the most. Koyczan also wrote the poem to tell the reader how was his experience in school.
Koyczan was a young boy when he got bullied. Everything started when he fell of a tree and got a bruise. After, he went to school, one of his teachers saw his bruise. So he got investigated.
